Landlord sent four photos on WhatsApp. Page 1 of the agreement, page 2, the annexure, and his thumb on the last page. Bank form said upload rent agreement in pdf. Not photos. One file. I sat with that chat at 9:40 am and the branch closing talk already in my head.
This is a normal Tuesday in Jaipur. Rent, KYC, a locker, a home loan talking. The bank wants pdf. The landlord has a phone. Those two worlds meet in a jpg to pdf tool.
Photos in order, then one pdf
Open JPG to PDF. Drop the jpg files. Each photo becomes a page. Download photos.pdf. Rename it if you like, rent-agreement.pdf, something the clerk will not laugh at.
Order is the fight. First file you drop is page 1. If you dropped the thumb page first, the bank sees a thumb, then the title. Use the list. Clear and drop again if you mixed it. There are arrows on merge for pdfs. For jpg to pdf, drop in the sequence you want. I line them on the desktop as 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg so my hand cannot betray me.
WhatsApp compresses. The photo may already be soft. If a clause is unreadable, ask the landlord for a re-take. Straight above the paper, no pillow in the frame. Do not wait until the bank rejects.
Your file is not uploaded to our server. The agreement stays in the tab. I like that. Rent papers have addresses, deposits, sometimes Aadhaar numbers people wrote in the margin. I do not want that on a random converter.
20 MB per file. Four WhatsApp jpgs are usually small. If someone mailed a 25 MB studio scan, the drop will refuse. Compress first or reshoot.
PNG will not go in the jpg tool. If the landlord sent screenshots as png, use PNG to PDF or save as jpg. Mixed types, pick one path.
Live photos: save a still. Then drop.
I had a file where page 2 was upside down. Bank would not care but the officer would. Rotate PDF after you make the pdf. 180. Download again. Do not reprint on paper just to scan straight. We do not have time for that theatre.
Bank wants pdf, not a zip of photos
They will not open a zip. They will not swipe a WhatsApp chat. One pdf in the slot. If the slot says 2 MB max, check size after you build. File Size Checker. If it is heavy, compress the jpgs first with Compress Image, then make the pdf. Fat photos inside a pdf stay fat.
Do not photograph the phone with another phone. Forward the original images to yourself by USB or cable if WhatsApp already ate them. Best is the landlord photographing again, one page, fill the frame.
Signatures on yellow paper go dark in bad light. Window light. I tell tenants this when they send me a black rectangle.
If the agreement is already a pdf from a lawyer, do not jpg it. Upload that. Photographing a print of a pdf is how you get 4 mb of blur. Only do jpg to pdf when all you have is photos.
Password. If someone locked the pdf they emailed, our tools will not open it. The jpg path is for pictures. Keep pictures as pictures until the pdf is born.
Name the pages. I write on a slip: 1 agreement start, 2 continuation, 3 annexure, 4 signed last. Then I drop in that order. When the landlord sends 1, 3, 2, 4, I still follow the paper, not the chat order.
Page size will follow the photo pixels. A tall phone photo makes a tall page. The bank pdf viewer will still show it. Print shop may grumble later. For upload, ok.
I do not put the electricity bill in the same pdf unless they asked. Extra pages confuse the slot. Rent agreement means rent agreement.

After download, look once
Open the pdf on your PC. Flip every page. Thumb not on top. Clause not cut. Then upload.
If the bank site is IE in a corner of the branch, maybe do this at home on Chrome and carry the pdf on a pen drive. The branch PC may block the canvas or block downloads. I have stood there. Pain.
If download is grey, no jpg yet, or over 20 MB, or still working. Wait.
Do not email the agreement to us to convert. We will not. The page is the converter.
If you need Aadhaar plus agreement, that is a merge of two pdfs later. First make the agreement pdf clean. Then Merge PDF if the slot is one file for a bundle. Some banks want separate slots. Read the form. I merged once when they wanted separate, had to split again.
Four photos is typical. Six if there is a police verification annex. Same method.

I keep the original chat. If the bank says page 3 missing, I still have the photo. I do not delete the WhatsApp until the locker is done. The pdf is a child of those jpgs.
Last March a couple in Vaishali Nagar had 3 jpgs and a png of the last page. I converted png to jpg in the gallery, then all four into JPG to PDF. Order: printed pages first, signature last. Size 1.1 MB. Slot allowed 5. Branch accepted.
I still remember the landlord arguing on the phone that he already sent “the papers”. He had sent a blur of page 2 twice and skipped the rent clause. We asked again. He stood in the courtyard, one page at a time, noon light. Those four stills made a pdf the officer actually read.
If the bank later says the stamp is not clear, that is not a pdf problem. That is a photo problem. Make the pdf again from better jpgs. Do not zoom and screenshot the first pdf. That is how you get a stamp made of dots.
Some branches want the agreement plus ID in one slot. Then merge after. Some want only the agreement. I keep two files on the pen drive. rent-only.pdf and rent-plus-id.pdf. I upload what the screen asks, not what I assumed at breakfast.
